The year 2067
I just did the Life Expectancy Calculator. Apparently I'm going to live to be 88.9 years old. That means it'll be the year 2067 when I die. WOW! Just imagine what the world will be like then. . . According to Wikipedia, I'll see Halley's Comet return in 2062 (last time it was here was in 1986). And Isaac Newton predicted that the world will end sometime close to 2060. Wondering what the world will be like in the 2060's? Here's what the people of television think. . . The Jetsons (as in George Jetson) is suppose to take place in the year 2062, the TV series "Thunderbirds" takes place in 2065, and "Star Trek Voyager" launches Friendship One in 2067.

Elijah's Special Day
We blessed Elijah at church yesterday. It was a beautiful, wonderful day. We had great support from family present, and felt the love of family far away. Nathan gave a beautiful blessing, and surprised us all (me included) when he added to Elijah's name. He is now, Elijah Reid Tamatoa Ormsby. Tamatoa is Maori for young warrior. Tama (pronounced Tawmaw) means boy/son, and Toa (pronounced toe-aw) means warrior. I think it's pretty special.
After the blessing we had a few family members over for a Bar B-Q. Nathan cooked some awesome chicken. The weather was perfect, and the kids enjoyed running around in the backyard. It really was a lovely day. We sure love Elijah and the joy that he gives us daily. He is very special, and such a happy little baby. Love you Tamatoa!
P.S. Please see the other photos in the post below this.

The Factory
We took the kids to the "donut factory" for their first time today. They loved it, of course. Yummy Krispie Kremes!

As Seen On TV
So, here is Noah and Van's latest obsession . . . Pancake Puffs. This commercial is on T.V. CONSTANTLY. The boys think this is the most amazing food ever invented. They feel they MUST have pancake puffs. They will watch T.V. just to see the commercial. When their cartoons are on they will run around and play, but as soon as they hear the commercial start, they will come running and sit down and watch it. They can recite the entire commercial. Yesterday when I was tucking them in for their naps we had this conversation :
Vance : (out of the blue) "I love pancake puffs!" (Remember, we do not have pancake puffs.)
Noah : "Yeah, I love pancake puffs too! Can dip them."
Vance : "Dip in cinnamon and sugar."
Noah : "Love pancake puffs for snacks."
This gal thinks ahead, however, I don't think this would be a great bday present for him, seeing how his birthday is in winter. I explained this to her and she said : "We should still get it for Grandpa, we don't want his back to hurt!"

Spring is in the air
This little Monkey had her Kindergarten Roundup (Meeting) yesterday afternoon. She was, "a little excited, and a lot nervous". The meeting went well. She was amazed that there was a library in her school. She thought that was pretty neat. She also had no problem going off in her group, while the parents had our meeting. She stood up walked over to her group, looked back once before leaving the room, and was fine. No tears, no pulling on her shirt (a nervous habit of hers), and no walking on her tippy toes. My little girl's all grown up. Afterwards I asked her if she was excited to start kindergarten in the fall. She said, "Yeah! They have a doll house!!"
