This too Shall Pass

A little over 24 hours ago I thought I was going to die. Truly, death by pain! I have never experienced pain like that before. It was much worse than giving birth! Yesterday afternoon I took a little cat nap, and awoke to a small pain in my lower back. (I've had this same pain on and off for a few days now. And just earlier that morning the doctor told me I had a bladder infection) Within 10 minutes of waking up to that dull pain, I could barely talk on the phone, telling Nathan to "Come home!!" Off to the emergency room for me. Again, I can't even begin to explain the pain, it was horrid, so horrid that I started hyperventilating, and throwing up. Awesome. After some amazing morphine, some nausea medication, CT scans, and 4+ hours in the ER, I was told that I have kidney stones. Not fun. I am doing better today though. No terribly scary pain, just mild stuff. Thank goodness for pain medication. But, supposedly the worse is yet to come. . . yippee! (sarcasm folks)

So sorry for your pain!!! I've heard about those terrible kidney stones. How long before they pass? Ouch!
Do they know what's caused them?
Good luck... I suppose this is a good excuse for you NOT to go walking. Sigh... call me when you're feeling better.

That is terrible!!! I've been there, too, and I'm sorry that you get this- and still have kids to take care of. Hope it passes soon!

Jennifer!! What gives? Kidney stones are not fashionable. Why would you do that?

I hope you feel better and that the worse part doesn't have to come.

Jen I am SOOO Sorry!! I have had kidney stones 5 times!! The first time I had to have surgery, and the other times I have just been in agony until they pass. I know exactly how you feel. I will be your doctor and tell you to drink LOTS of water... supposedly about 110 ounces a day!! I can't drink soda or they pop up every time. Let me know how you are... again SORRY!!
