Better picture . . .

This picture is more suited to how I looked this afternoon. On my back, and as huge as a polar bear!

Would you say the parking lot is slippery?

This is a picture of me today, except instead of a bag and suitcase I'm holding 15 library books, and walking behind my little girl to remind her to walk carefully so she won't fall.

This is what Marlee said about the experience, "Mom, I turned around to see you, and you were laying on the ground!"
Yup, that's what happened. My right foot decided to see if I could do the splits (which I have NEVER been able to do). Luckily, I caught it before it succeeded, and corrected the silly foot. Unfortunately, my center of gravity couldn't catch up with my "cat like reflexes", so me and my 15 library books fell, completely flat on my back, in the mud and snow! Poor Nathan, he ran to me not knowing what to expect. It's okay to laugh at this story, because I did not get hurt, and all the BLACK mud came out of my sweater, t-shirt, tank top, and pants. However, my ego was a little bruised. I'm sure it looked pretty funny.

Jenny's ABC's

I've had this list for awhile now. I can't think of anything interesting to write about, so I'll post it now. . .

A: Available or taken? If you’ve seen my blog, you know the answer.

B: Best friend: My patient husband, Nathan.

C: Cake or pie? Cake-if it’s chocolate, and pie-if it’s apple.

D: Drink of choice? Dr. Pepper, from a fountain, with little or no ice. Trust me, it tastes different from a can, than a bottle.

E: Essential items used daily? Phone, internet, DVD player, toothbrush, and Q-tips.

F: Favorite color? Red, but Marlee insists that it’s yellow. I don’t know why.

G: Gummy bears or gummy worms? Bears. I like to eat the head first.

H: Hometown? Good ol’ Layton, UT

I: Indulgence? A tall class of chocolate milk, or other delicious treat, after the kids have gone to bed.

J: January or February? February, it’s a short month, and spring is just around the corner. And I will no longer be pregnant!!

K: Kids and names? Marlee, Noah, Vance, and the one who is yet to be named.

L: Life is incomplete without... family, friends, and music.

M: Marriage date? October 14

N: Number of siblings? 3 = 2 sisters and 1 brother

O: Oranges or apples? Apples (I prefer green over red). Even though apples make me burp. Weird.

P: Phobias or fears? Falling, or loosing a child.

Q: Favorite quote? This is changing all the time, but for now I like . . . “They had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.” Alma 56:47

R: Reason to smile? My children giggling together.

S: Season? FALL!! Even with a gazillion leaves to rake up.

T: Tag 3 people... anyone who reads this. . .

U: Unknown fact about me? I breathe through my mouth when I sleep. I just can’t seem to get enough air through my nose.

V: Vegetables you don't like? Brussel sprouts, and lima beans, and they’re 20 times worse cold!

W: Worst habit? Eating after the kids go to bed. See letter “I”.

X: X-rays? I think this means what I’ve had x-rayed . . . my teeth, my ankle, and lots of ultra sounds, if those count!?

Y: Your favorite food: Mexican, or chocolate, it’s a tie.

Z: Zodiac sign? Sagittarius

Utah Weather

I love the seasons here!! If you get tired of one season all you have to do is wait 2 months and you'll have different weather. It's great. It snowed on Wednesday. In just about 12 hours we had a total of 12+ inches of snow!! It was amazing! And beautiful (as long as you don't have to go anywhere).

This first picture show's Nathan enjoying the front yard the end of October. The second pic is Nathan enjoying the front yard on Wednesday. :)

Alive?

Yes, I'm still alive. Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. We are all doing well. I'm hanging in there. Been having "false labor", so I'm not feeling terrific. I've also started "nesting", but I just don't seem to have the energy to get it all done. I have washed all the clothes for the baby (still no name), so at least he'll have something to wear. If only I could get enough strength to get the rest of the wallpaper off my bedroom walls. I really want Nathan to paint the room, right now it's hideous!! It's partly wallpapered, partly not. Partly wood paneled, and partly painted grey (where the wallpaper wasn't). Pretty huh? It's quite the room. Maybe this weekend I can get to it. . . maybe not. I also can't seem to go to sleep till 2 am. It wouldn't be bad, if the kiddies would let me sleep in, but they never got that memo I suppose. Anyways . . .

The last couple weeks have been good. Nathan got awesome seats to a Jazz game, and really enjoyed that. He also went skiing in Park City with my brother last week. Of course they had a ton of fun. The kids are doing great too. Vance got a black eye last week from Marlee. It involved a pop up tent, a table, and Marlee jumping on him. Unfortunately I wasn't in the room, so I don't know the exact details, just the few that Marlee 'fessed up to. Marlee had an ultrasound this week on her noggin. We found a bump on the back of her head a few months ago. So, we had an ultrasound done to see what it was. Turns out she just has a lumpy skull. They say that means she'll be really smart!
